Scaling Scrum With Multi-Organizational Teams – “Air Traffic Control”

Scaling Scrum up to 10+ Teams in the same organization can feel like you need “Air Traffic Control” to handle cross-team communications: maintaining “separation” to prevent Team collisions while enabling those Team to move at maximum velocity.

And when a Scrum project needs to scale by building Teams from multiple organizations (as many large Federal Government projects do) – now you’ve got a whole new layer of challenge: Minimizing impedance introduced by organizational/political boundaries that exist within and among Teams.

Piling on a third challenge: doing Scrum at this scale in a heavily regulated environment (financial, scientific, healthcare, Federal Government, etc) – is this even possible?

This session explores a model that makes it work, based on a real project.
